In late November, San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid suffered a season-ending arm injury.

After the team’s loss to the New England Patriots, Reid left the stadium with his arm in a sling and his teammates fearing the worst. An MRI the following day confirmed the safety’s torn bicep. Reid took to Twitter to confirm the injury, noting that he was down, but not out.

Over the course of the season, Reid was responsible for one forced fumble, one interception, and 62 tackles. The safety, who was drafted by the 49ers in 2013, only has one year remaining on his current contract.

At the time of Reid’s injury, defensive starters Arik Armstead, Ray-Ray Armstrong, and NaVorro Bowman were already out for the remainder of the season with injuries.
